Who Says Summer Has to Be Nearly Over?
Bring the family to Summerfest in sunny San Rafael on Saturday, Sept. 24, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. It’s a huge carnival with games, jumpies, pony rides, face painting, art booths, a petting zoo, dunk tank, BBQ, cake walk, photo booth, Italian street painting, local bands and more.
Admission is free, but bring a little cash for the games, treats and raffle with a $1,000 grand prize (Other prizes include a Breezer 3-speed uptown bike and an iPad2.)

WHERE: San Rafael High School, 185 Mission Ave., San Rafael
WHY: Summerfest is a major fun-raiser for the HeadsUp public education foundation, which supports the diverse San Rafael City Schools District. HeadsUp works to ensure that all students have access to music, libraries, outdoor education, scholarships and college readiness programs.
