“Sunday Streets” SF’s Free Street Festival & Block Party (2026)

San Francisco’s 2026 season of Sunday Streets returns with four events across The City. Since 2008, Sunday Streets has transformed San Francisco’s streets into car-free community spaces, bringing neighbors together for a day of connection, movement, and fun.

Sunday Streets 2026 Season Schedule

Please note that full details, schedule and times are still TBA as of 5/12/2026.

  • June 14, 2026: Tenderloin
  • July 19, 2026: Mission
  • August 23, 2026: Bayview
  • October 18, 2026: Excelsior

Sunday Streets take place in diverse neighborhoods across the City, including the Tenderloin, Mission, Excelsior, and Bayview. Each event features fun free active play games, cultural performances, health resources, live music and more with the goal of connecting San Franciscans on car-free open streets.

Sunday Streets closes out the season on October 18 in the E with over a mile of open streets, creating a temporary park for the community to walk, roll, bike, gather and meet.

Come check out Activity Hubs on Avalon, Seneca and Ocean Ave for free fun, family-friendly activities offered by local nonprofits, community groups, and small businesses.

Visit a Market Square and Picnic Grounds, and pick up a Common Cents Passport at a Sunday Streets Info Booth to get stamped (and win prizes from!) local businesses.

Walk, dance, skate, bike, play, and explore the whole route while taking in live music, education & professional development resources, blood pressure screenings, food demos and more.

Bring your furry (or feathered, or scaly) friends: the second annual Rose Ann Harris Pet Parade led by beloved neighborhood activist Rose Ann will traverse the route and celebrate neighborhood pets.

Don’t forget to pick up the Explore Local Map for a fun guide to the Excelsior you can use all year long.
