Event Details

Have you seen a traditional Taiwan Hand Puppet show? Please join us to enjoy this rare opportunity brought to you by the longest running puppet theater group from Taiwan, Chiao Wan Jan Puppet Troupe of Taipei Pingdeng Elementary School. Even though it is their first U.S. tour, they have performed in Korea, Canada, Japan, Australia, and China in the past 28 years.

The show is performed with puppet players in the front stage and the music players in the back stage. Ten students, age 9-12, will perform two classic dramas: “Three Immortals Blessing” & “Boar King Legend” with a modern message of environmental conservation. Q&A, hand-on practice, and reception will follow.
