Event Details

The Contemporary Jewish Museum launches a new quarterly social event for the after work crowd. Rise celebrates the Jewish holiday of Shavuot and current Museum exhibitions, creating a one-night only contemporary experience.

Admission: $5 after 5 pm

Enjoy activities throughout the museum including:

  • Union Square vintage boutique TORSO will be dressing models in vintage couture for an installation of live models in the Grand Lobby
  • Torch songs in the Yud with Karina Denike and Michael McIntosh
  • Signature cocktails from Tonic aptly named The Eleventh Commandment, The Broken Tablet, and Up All Night
  • A glamorous and glittery eyelash bar with The Dress Up Box
  • Delicious grilled cheese sandwiches with The GrilledCheezGuy pop-up
  • Poet’s Corner with Neeli Cherkovski, Lalé Shafaghi, and Mathew Siegel
  • Vintage fabric button making with Britex Fabrics
  • Challah braiding demo by Wise Sons Deli’s Leo Beckerman
  • Make Your Own Commandment magnetic activity with Reboot
  • Flash Tour of Henry Dreyfuss with CJM curator Lily Siegel
  • Geography quiz and prizes with Sourdough and Rye
