SF’s Yerba Buena Gardens Festival 2025
The 2025 Yerba Buena Gardens Festival hosts a full lineup of free outdoor music, theater, circus, dance, poetry, and children’s programs. The Festival opens on Saturday, May 10, 2025 with La Santa Cecilia to kick off its 25th Anniversary Season.
The Bay Area shares long and passionate ties with Louisiana, a bond exemplified by this raucous double-bill. Tom Rigney and Flambeau features some of the finest musicians on the roots music scene, including Rigney, an electrifying violinist and composer with a gift for putting an individual stamp on fiery Cajun and zydeco two-steps, low-down blues, funky New Orleans grooves, and heartbreakingly beautiful ballads and waltzes.
With deep family roots in the Creole community of the Gulf Coast, Richmond-raised accordion virtuoso André Thierry lays down serious zydeco grooves laced with soul and R&B. Bring your dancing shoes.
