Come hang with Jim and Alex at our housewarming show, and have some free cake. We’re celebrating finding a new home at Valencia Room after Amnesia’s closing.

Troubled Comedy with Jim & Alex is a weekly stand-up showcase featuring the best comedians in the Bay Area and beyond. Hosted by local favorites Jim McVeigh and Alexandria Love, this long running San Francisco show is a cornerstone of the Bay Area comedy scene.

Get there early if you want seats, but there’s plenty of room to stand in the back.

Alexandria Love is a stand-up comedian, podcaster, and writer from Oakland, California. She’s performed at some of the best venues in California, including Tommy T’s, The San Jose Improv, Doc’s Lab, The Set-Up, and Pianofight. She is a seven-time winner of Tourette’s Without Regret’s Dirty Haiku Battle at the Oakland Metro Opera House, and the current reigning champion at Muni Diaries’ Haiku Battle. She’s created or co-created several popular shows, such as Thinking Women’s Comedy, Here’s Why That’s Funny, and Pop Quiz. She currently hosts CRUSH. Open Mic for Womenfolk at Classic Cars West in Oakland, CA.

Jim McVeigh is a comedian based in Oakland. Jim’s comedy stems from feeling like an alien in most parts of life. He’s been described as having both dorky-dad, and cool-mom energy on stage. His act is vulnerable and silly, as he tries to process the world happening at him. Jim is a recent addition to the roster of Punch Line, Cobb’s, and Rooster T Feathers.
