Tree Tour with Friends of the Urban Forest | SF

Friends of the Urban Forest (FUF) invite you on a free two-hour walking tours of the trees of San Francisco, including rare trees and trees designated with Landmark status by the city.

Friends of the Urban Forest’s mission is to promote a larger, healthier urban forest, as part of San Francisco’s green infrastructure through community planting, tree care, education, and advocacy.

Spend the morning  viewing some of San Francisco’s most interesting subtropical trees. Jason Dewees of Flora Grubb Gardens will show off rare and unusual species around and atop Potrero Hill.

They’ll start at Project Artaud at 17th & Florida streets, where rare palms have grown since the 1980s. Then they’ll visit unusual flowering trees at 17th & Folsom streets, and conclude at the riotous street-side plantings at 20th & Wisconsin streets on Potrero Hill.

Free, but an RSVP is required to Michele at michele@fuf.net or 415-268-0780.
