The Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center (APICC) is partnering with Sunday Streets and Livable City to host the United States of Asian America Festival: Reimagining Horizons stage at Sunday Streets Tenderloin. Join us in the heart of San Francisco’s historic Tenderloin neighborhood for an afternoon of music, poetry, fashion, art-making, and performances celebrating the artistry and diversity of San Francisco’s Asian American and Pacific Islander communities.
Featured artists include Caroline Cabading (“Kultura Kapwa”), Parivar Bay Area (“Khwaab– A Dream Beyond Hate”), SPULU (“Caged Between Shores”), Shikha Malaviya, Maw Shein Win, and Preeti Vangani (“Subverting the Hyphen: Embracing AAPI Multiplicities through Poetry”), and Terry Lily Hwang (“Across Inner Landscapes”). These APICC artists will share the stage with talented, local performers proudly representing the Tenderloin, home to a diverse, pan-Asian immigrant/refugee community.
