On Saturday, April 24, 2021, the San Mateo County History Museum will present an online version of its Annual Maritime Day. This FREE event highlights the Museum’s “Charles Parsons’ Ships of the World” exhibit gallery that features 24 model ships hand crafted by expert model maker Charles Parsons. Online instructions include videos teaching maritime knots. In addition to online instructions, 100 FREE material kits will be available to be picked up at the Museum (2200 Broadway in Redwood City). The kits will help the children engage in a variety of hands-on activities and crafts. To sign up for a free material kit go to http://historysmc.org/maritime-day/.
