One Found Sound, the San Francisco-based conductorless chamber orchestra, announces a special digital performance of Frederic Rzewski’s “Coming Together” on Friday, May 29, 2020 at 5:30 pm PDT on Facebook Live and YouTube.
The democratic, conductorless orchestra continues to move into the virtual performance arena with their collaborative interpretation of Rzewski’s 1971 minimalist work. “Coming Together” includes text written by an inmate involved with the Attica Correctional Facility riots, and explores themes of isolation, the passage of time, and togetherness.
This special, orchestral project will feature the musicians of One Found Sound and the work of videographer Hanna Moradi. Audiences are invited to tune in to One Found Sound’s Facebook live stream to live-chat with the musicians and other listeners during the event or to watch the event on our YouTube channel.
The event is free of charge. For details and event links, please visit onefoundsound.org.
