Women’s Audio Mission Presents Local Sirens performance

Join us on November 11, 2024, for a free night of powerful music and community as Women’s Audio Mission proudly presents Local Sirens at the iconic Rickshaw Stop! Experience the electrifying sounds of Skip the Needle, a Bay Area supergroup that’s redefining rock with socially conscious grooves, unforgettable melodies, and boundary-pushing performances, with special guests Stoni and B.Deveaux.

This is a showcase performance as part of WAM’s artist-in-residence program, designed to provide a platform for women and gender-expansive emerging performers.

Through this program, WAM has commissioned and presented new work by 400+ local women composers, musicians, and artists (100% BIPOC since 2018, 90% low-income). After completing WAM residencies, artists have appeared on/in Billboard, Good Morning America, ESPN, NPR, Carnegie Hall, etc. and signed record deals (Hollywood, Disney, Smithsonian Folkways). Our Local Sirens Performance Series has reached over 7,500+ attendees at venues including SFJazz, Rickshaw Stop, The New Parish, Yerba Buena Gardens Festival, and more.
