Looking for a peaceful Bay Area experience that’s a little different? SUP Yoga on the Petaluma River offers a calm, beginner-friendly way to get out on the water—right in downtown Petaluma, about an hour north of San Francisco.
This all-levels class is designed for total beginners as well as experienced yogis and paddleboarders. No experience needed. You’ll start with a short, easy paddle from the docks to get comfortable on your board (knees are always welcome). Once everyone is anchored together, the class flows at a relaxed pace with options to move, stretch, rest, or simply float.
All equipment is included, featuring wide, extra-stable paddleboards that make balancing feel approachable and secure. The full experience lasts 90 minutes and costs $50.
Morning sessions (9:30–11:00 am) are perfect for starting the day on the water before brunch or exploring downtown Petaluma. Friday evening sessions are a great way to unwind at the end of the week, with restaurants, shops, and riverfront walks just steps away.
If you’ve been curious about paddleboard yoga but didn’t know where to start, this is a welcoming, low-pressure way to try it—surrounded by calm water, fresh air, and Bay Area charm.
