San Jose Obon Festival 2012 | Japanese Taiko & Dancers
>> Want to see our Top Picks for this week instead?
San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin | 640 North 5th Street, San Jose, CA
Obon is an annual festival/bazaar in San Jose’s Japantown - a huge festival with two days of game booths, food booths, cultural exhibits and demonstrations, the Chidori Band, San Jose Taiko and, in past years, over 1,000 dancers in full costume each evening.
If you enjoy sushi, udon, teriyaki, snowcones, fresh corn, green tea cupcakes, or if you’re a little adventurous, we even have grilled octopus. There are plants, flowers, and fresh produce for sale and a white elephant booth.
