Take the T to the Annual Black Cuisine Festival, an all-day outdoor street fair featuring live music, dancing, comedy, a Kiddieland, and of course, delicious food vendors.

FREE, but bring along some cash for food purchases

Food vendors include Big Mamma’s Kitchen and Too Sweet Not To Eat with lots of options like BBQ chicken, ribs, yams, ox tail, black eyed peas, mac & cheese, fried catfish, jambalaya,  Texas BBQ, Louisiana creole, Cajun food and more.

The 2014 event will also celebrate the groundbreaking for the Dr. George W. Davis Senior Center at 5800 Third Street from 10-11 am.
