The seventh annual Chinatown Music Festival celebrates an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary music performances by locally and internationally recognized talents performing at Portsmouth Square.
2016 Chinatown Music Festival
Saturday, August 13, 2016 | 11 am to 5 pm
Portsmouth Square, Kearny & Clay St, SF
In addition to all of the wonderful musical performances, the Festival will also feature Chinatown’s first exhibition of interactive design.
Consisting of four installations created by Chinese artists trained in American art schools, the interactive exhibition will allow visitors to interact with a variety of media such as a video game that will teach you how to speak the language of gorillas or learn about digital drawing and food. One project by Xiaoxiao Zeng, “Friendship Jungle” was selected as semi-finalist for Adobe’s Design Achievement Award 2016.
