Historic Christmas at Sea Festival 2013 | SF

San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park presents the annual “Christmas At Sea” event featuring a special holiday celebration with live music, refreshments, ornament-making, and a visit from Santa Claus by boat.

All activities are held aboard the historic sailing ship Balclutha, berthed at Hyde Street Pier. The Dogwatch Nautical Band starts the festivities at 3 pm, performing traditional sea chanteys with a holiday twist.

Admission: $5 for adults. Free for kids 15 and under. Free with national park passes.

2013 Schedule:

  • Sea chanteys, ornament-making activities and refreshments from 3-4:45 pm.
  • As the band concludes its performance, a park ranger will read a popular holiday story.
  • Santa arrives at 4:20 pm, and will listen to children’s wishes until the program ends at 4:45 pm.
