Goodbye, Candlestick Park

A special free museum exhibit on the history of Candlestick

Candlestick Park Stadium, the City’s baseball and football stadium for over 50 years, will be torn down in late 2014 or early 2015.

Lights Out at the ‘Stick is a newly opened exhibit located in the Grove Street lobby of the Main Library featuring a brief history and memorabilia.

Among the items on display are a San Francisco 49ers uniform and helmet, a Candlestick seat, reproduced tickets and program from the 1962 Giants v. Yankees World Series home game, a Giants uniform and more.
