Event Details

Imagine spending 52 days alone on vacation, soaking up 4,137 miles of Canada from Vancouver to Halifax, crossing the Rockies, the Great Plains, the Canadian Shield, and the Saint Lawrence, skirting the north shore of Lake Superior and peering into the U.S. from the quiet forests “above” Maine.

Now imagine doing it while carrying your luggage and camping gear on a bike. Michael Woods describes pedaling in wind, rain, hail, and heat as well as the planning, pre-trip exercise, and shopping sprees that turn the idea that “if it can be done, I can do it” into the intellectually satisfying adventure of a lifetime.

As part of the presentation, Mike will unpack his bicycle to show what he took on the trip.
