Frida & Diego: 75th Anniversary of the Second Wedding | SF

The Art World’s Grand Couple reunited after a very public divorce. Frida forgave Diego and wanted him back. She flew to San Francisco from Mexico City to become Diego’s wife for the second time. On Diego’s birthday, December 8th 1940, Frida and Diego were rejoined by a judge in SF City Hall.

Fiestas Fridas, Cine+Mas SF and The Mexican Museum are collaborating to celebrate a significant part of Latino, San Francisco and Art World History. Come to any of these events dressed as Frido, Frida or Diego and receive a complimentary Fiestas Fridas poster featuring artwork by Heather Calderon. Vendors will be on site featuring FRIDArte for your holiday shopping.
