El Rios 34th Anniversary: Free Tacos, Bands & Dancing | Mission Dist.Come out and celebrate El Rio’s 34th birthday with a party with bands, free food, dancing and best of all, no cover, all on October 20, 2012.

There are five bands on the lineup, Red Hots Burlesque, plus games and mayhem promised later in the night.

Here is the schedule for the day, as best as we could make it out:

  • 3pm doors open
  • 3-5pm Happy Hour – All Drinks 1/2 off
  • 4-8pm Bands on the patio
  • 4-8p Free Tasty Tacos and Rocky’s FryBread to follow
  • 8-9pm Games and Mayhem - you wanna be there for sure
  • 9p to close Indoor Dancing
    DJ Ron from 9-11 in the back room &
    DJ Lady Ryan from 11-1 in the back room to get your rump shakin’.

Band Lineup includes:

  • 4pm Year of the Fist
    Rock N Roll out of Oakland CA. We’ve got past and present members of Dolorata, Fabulous Disaster, Neutralboy and Get Dead!. But we sure as hell don’t sound like any of those bands.
  • 5pm The Bar Feeders
    Been jammin it up since 1994. Punk Rock with lots of beer thrown in. Some say “the punk Rush” Others say ” the stupidest band ever!” Still others say ” get that thing away from me!”
  • 6pm Troo Blu
    Hip hop fusion emcee, poet, percussionist, producer, and speaker
  • 7pm Shake It Booty Band
    Wanna get your groove thang moving? Come check out this new creation of magical talents of the bay area makin’ it happen
  • 8pm The Go-Going-Gone Girls
    “The Go-Going-Gone Girls are a live act, a sensory experience that defies auditory limits. Oh sure, they sound, but the G4s are holistic practitioners on pink pedestals, transcending form and fashion, time and technology. Their performances are not just seen and heard, but felt at a visceral—even primal—level.”
