2012 Rolex Big Boat Yacht Racing | SF

It’s all rigs and racing at the St. Francis Yacht Club’s Rolex Big Boat Series, an annual September gathering now in its 48th year, that will be held from September 6-9, 2012. A large regatta that draws competitors from around the globe, there are 66 entrants ready to do battle over the seven race series with 24 of them vying for the IRC North American Championship.

Best Race Viewing Location The race is best viewable from the seawall between the St. Francis Yacht Club and the end of the jetty or Crissy Field.

Race Times: Generally 11am to 4pm with some breaks.

So if you want to watch some top-notch sailing, make sure get there early for the 11 a.m. start times and don’t miss the final race of the series on Sunday. Note though that parking is not available during the races, so it is best to park in Crissy Field or the Presidio.
