Thursday Nights | 6-10 pm
Exploratorium, Pier 15
$15 General; $10 Members; Free for Lab Members ($10 Add-On Ticket for the Tactile Dome)
Adults Only (18+)

Join them for a resonant presentation on sound at Full-Spectrum Science. Crawl through their pitch-black Tactile Dome. Also, play with hundreds of hands-on exhibits and experience an array of Explainer-led demonstrations. And grab dinner and drinks by the Bay.

What is sound? How high a pitch can you hear? Can you measure the speed of sound with a yardstick? Can two sounds add up to no sound? Explore these questions and more in this resonant presentation.

Since joining the Exploratorium in 1971, Ron Hipschman has worked as an exhibit developer, author, teacher, and webcast host. He currently works on the Exploratorium’s Environmental Initiative, implementing and maintaining a collection of environmental monitoring sensors and developing visualizations for the Fisher Bay Observatory Gallery’s super-resolution media wall.
