Wilder Ranch State Park | 1401 Coast Rd Santa Cruz, CA
Travel back in time a hundred years at Wilder Ranch State Park in Santa Cruz County on July 4, 2012 to experience an old-fashioned Independence Day Celebration 1912 style with a family parade at noon, flag raising ceremony, draft horse rides, living history demonstrations and more.
To join in the parade, meet at 11:45 a.m. at the apple orchard in front of the Highway 1 tunnel and join in the parade. Bring a musical instrument or noisemaker, dress in 1912 costume or pull a decorated wagon.
Free. Festivities run from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Wilder Ranch State Park is located 2 miles north of Santa Cruz on Highway 1. The event is free; the day use parking fee applies per car. For more event information, call (831) 426-0505.
