Free Hot Dog Day | Inner Richmond
Sadly, the Frankenart Mart closed in February 2016 after 10 fun years.
The Frankenart Mart is a quirky “only in San Francisco” type of art gallery in the Inner Richmond. Not only do they have curious one-of-a-kind participatory art projects, but once a month there’s free hot dogs. Cat hair toppings are available.
Keep in mind, this is a teeny tiny (250 sq. feet) art gallery. So if you’re interested in strange and wonderful little art projects, this is a fun place to spend part of your Sunday and munch on a free dog.
Expect the unexpected at Frankenart Mart’s Hot Dog Cafeteria – mystery meat, goulash, giant mounds of jello, and hot dogs, of course.
They’re going old school here. Watch out for the lunchroom monitors, Reuben and Zeke. They are very strict about manners in the cafeteria. It’s one way to avoid the Hardly Strictly hordes.
