Historian Robert J. Chandler will present an informative and entertaining slide lecture discussing Grafton Tyler Brown, an African-American lithographer working in San Francisco in the 19th century. Chandler’s talk, based on his book, will compare Brown’s artistry with that of competing lithographers in this city.
