Nerd Nite East Bay: Geeky Lectures in a Bar | Oakland

Nerd Nite East Bay is a monthly lecture-in-a-bar series. They get smart and interesting people, give them lots of free drinks, and put them on stage in front of a couple hundred tipsy nerds.

Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes it’s salacious, and it’s always nerdy.

Nerd Nite East Bay
Every last Monday | 7 pm
Club 21, 2111 Franklin St, Oakland
$8 in advance; $10 at the door | 21+

December holidays mean an early edition of Nerd Nite East Bay and they’re taking it to the big screen at The New Parkway theater, a much beloved and anticipated brew-and-view in Oakland, before they officially open on December 14.

The New Parkways will provide the screen, comfy seats, and sell you a bit of beer and good food.

Nerd Nite will bring the learning: with KQED Quest discussing black holes, one of the New Parkway’s experts talking about audio/visual systems, and a talk about NASA’s balloon-based measurements of space weather. Also: the nerdiest animated music video you will ever see. Be there and be square.
