Roaring Camp Railroads hosts old-timey Fourth of July activities in the Santa Cruz Mountains on July 4, 2017.

Each year this historic railroad camp, which features two narrow-gauge railroads, hosted a fun-filled day of games, live music and an all-American barbecue.

Details are very sparse for 2017. In past years there was a hula hoop contest and some festivities were free if you just want to come out to this scenic spot, see the rides (but not ride them) and have a fun day. But there was a parking fee and food was available for purchase. Certain activities had fees between $2-5. Train rides started at $29 for adults and $22 for children – so we expect them to be similar this year with perhaps a minor rise in price
