The 173rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Celebration hosted by the United Irish Societies is one of the city’s most popular parades & events. Join us on Saturday, March 16, 2024, for fun and celebration.
173rd Annual San Francisco St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Saturday, March 16, 2024 | 11:30 am – 6 pm
2nd and Market to Civic Center Plaza via McAllister St., San Francisco
FREEThe Parade begins at the corner of 2nd & Market Street, marches down Market Street, and will make its way to Civic Center Plaza.
The St. Patrick’s Day Parade celebrates and showcases our Irish community, Irish culture, and character in all its forms. Featured groups from throughout the Bay Area’s Irish community including schools, youth organizations, labor unions, and cultural groups, as well as the San Francisco Police and Fire Departments, will march down Market Street.

Location: St. Patrick’s Church, 756 Mission St at 3rd Street- 11:30 AM — St. Patrick’s Day Parade (Location: 2nd and Market Streets to Civic Center)
- 11:30 AM — Civic Center Plaza Opens: Food, Drink, Music, Vendors
- 2:00 PM — Parade Ends at Civic Center Plaza in front of City Hall
- 2:00 PM — Live Music begins on Civic Center Plaza (Musical sets by The Hooks, Glide Ensemble, Dublin Soul)

The Saint Patrick’s Day parade begins at 11:30 am. The parade route begins at 2nd and Market Streets and heads straight down Market Street to Civic Center Plaza near San Francisco City Hall.This year, we will also have a UniteSF Multi-cultural Celebration at Civic Center Plaza from 11:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with a bar, food options, and music, with the LIVE music starting about 2 PM after the parade.Live Music by:

The theme of the 2024 St. Patrick’s Day Parade is UniteSF. The mission of UniteSF is to share St. Patrick’s Day with everyone: to unite, embrace, and honor all the unique cultural groups across this fine City. Immerse yourself in a spectacular showcase featuring a lineup of phenomenal artists:
- The Hooks: Straight from Sligo, this band brings the heart of Irish music to our stage.
- The Whelan Academy of Irish Dance: Watch the tradition come alive with their vibrant performances.
- Felim Egan and Darcy Noonan: A dynamic duo, Egan’s masterful accordion blends seamlessly with Noonan’s enchanting fiddle.
- The Glide Ensemble and Change Band: Feel the power of gospel with this full-on choir from the legendary Glide Memorial Church.
- Dublin Soul: A fusion of soul and Irish charm, featuring the incredible talents of Tony Lindsay (Santana), Omega Rae (Van Morrison), the traditional vocals of Amelia Hogan, and Ronan and Keith Mulligan from The Hooks, under the guidance of keyboardist, Eamonn Flynn (The Commitments, Elvin Bishop)
- Special Tribute: We honor the legacies of Sinéad O’Connor and Shane MacGowan, two titans of Irish music who left us in 2023. Join us in celebrating their unforgettable contributions through a set of heartfelt tributes.
