Saratoga Village | 14460 Big Basin Way, Saratoga, CA
Snow machines, strutting horse-drawn carriages, crafts people, Santa Claus and more are highlights of the annual Holiday Tree Lighting & Dickens Holiday Open House on November 29, 2013 in the Saratoga Village on Big Basin Way.
5:30 pm: Tree Lighting Ceremony
Join the annual tree lighting ceremony in Blaney Plaza with performance and singalong led by Bayshore Lyric Opera and some local Saratoga school participation; snow machines; and a holiday message from the Mayor.
6 to 8 pm: Ride a horse-drawn carriage for free (first come, first served), hear the wide selection of street musicians, meet Santa Claus, decorate cookies, play in the snow zone, shop in Saratoga boutiques, and enjoy the carolers.
Hot Cider & Cookies
6 to 8 pm: Sample hot cider and munch cookies at the fire station (we believe this is free, but bring a few bucks, just in case)
At the Saratoga History Museum (20450 Saratoga-Los Gatos Road)
6 to 8 pm: Live music, special free holiday exhibit, Saratoga-themed gift book and card selection, create cards for wounded soldiers, bring an unwrapped toy for the toy drive, and enjoy light refreshments - all for free.
