Do you have stuff lying around that you don’t need anymore? Bring them to the swap party and trade them for things you do need. It’s that simple.
A few guidelines to be observed:
- Do not exchange money, items are only for trading
- No discriminatory, abusive, or illegal items
- Beer is a common currency, bring beer to trade (or to drink)
You can bring pretty much anything that you can safely carry so basically clothing, books, electronics, food, beverages, crafts, gear, supplies, etc. If you don’t have items to trade, that’s okay. You can also trade homemade food, services (massage, language lessons, palm reading, etc), and anything else people will find valuable. Free but an RSVP is required.
