Introducing San Francisco’s first neighborhood cooking competition—a chance for amateur chefs to show off their kitchen skills and become champions of their ‘hood. After crowning champions in Haight, Mission, and Hayes Valley, SFSS comes to Castro/Noe.
How it works:
1) Simply cook a sweet or savory dish and bring it to the event. Your dish should provide enough for 12-15 tastes. They provide plates to serve on and utensils to eat with. Hot dishes will be tasted first.
2) Professional chefs from Castro/Noe restaurants will taste the entries and award winners in each category. Grading criteria include flavor, presentation, and creativity.
Awesome prizes will be awarded from local merchants, including Whole Foods, Novy, VIP Scrub Club, Wink SF, Easy Breezy and more.
A door prize will be given to one lucky ‘Eater’
