Novato | Vintage Military & WWII Sherman Tank Parade | 2013On July 4, 2013, line up on Novato’s Grant Avenue to see the annual parade kickoff in the city’s Old Town district.

The parade runs from 10 am to approximately noon, beginning at Reichert and Grant Avenue and ending at 7th and Grant Avenue.

Parade-goers arrive early to watch the pageant of classic cars, color guards, festive floats, music bands, fancy cowgirls on golden palominos, decorated basset hounds, and Sherman tanks.

The parade is famous for its contingent of vintage military vehicles from the Joe Garbarino World War II Military Vehicle Museum.

Pre-parade entertainment from street performers will start at 9 am with performances by the People of Note, Banjo Dave Marty, Abe van der Meule, and other street performers.
