SF’s Inaugural Bearrison Street Fair | SoMa
FolSoMa | Folsom St. and 7th St., San Francisco, CA
Join the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and the Bears of San Francisco for the inaugural Bearrison Street Fair.
Come as you are or in nothing at all. Everyone is welcome to celebrate who you are or who you want to be as we celebrate body positivity and community.
The brand new Bearrison Street Fair will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021, from noon to 6 pm in the SoMa district of San Francisco, CA. Please note, originally the festival was scheduled for October 30, but it’s been officially moved to October 23, 2021.
The Bearrison Street Fair seeks to provide an inclusive event for adult members of the LGBTQI+ community by promoting body positivity and cultural diversity for all, fostering a supportive and welcoming and inclusive bear scene by representing a diverse arena of cultures.
While conscious of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, SFMTA has accepted the application for Bearrison Street Fair, and all health and safety regulations will be followed and regularly modified to account for the latest in medical standards.
“We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, we are working with the city in producing a large outdoor event that is safe and follows all public health guidelines that are in place in October,” says Bearrison Co-Chair Sister Desi Juana DeWitt. “We are optimistic that by October 23, the pandemic will be under control and folks can embrace a safe and sane community event, and shine a light on the community and businesses of the historic Leather & LGBTQ Cultural District.”
Plans for the street fair are still developing, but updates and opportunities to get involved can be found at the Bearrison Street Fair website.
