Event Details

Join the authors of the hot new SF Guide, Walking San Francisco’s 49 Mile Scenic Drive, for a 3.8-mile loop hike along one section of 49 Mile Scenic Drive: Walk #14, The Mission.

Special Guest, Katharine Holland, realtor, and author of the books’ Victorian Architecture chapter, will co-lead this walk.

You’ll begin with a long hike up-and-down-and-up-and down stately Dolores Street to Cesar Chavez. Then you’ll make a big u-turn to return via Mission and Valencia Streets. The Mission is the City’s oldest neighborhood.

As you walk by it all—from Mission Dolores to Good Vibrations to Hipster eateries—you’ll share a few tidbits of the most-likely-true history and fun factoids you discovered while researching the guidebook. Plus: guest guide Katharine Holland will give an overview of the Victorian Architecture along the route.

You end where you begin (14th St at Market St), though once you hit Mission St. you are free to take off on your own if you want to meander more.

Free but an RSVP is required.
