Want to see a pumpkin that weighs almost as much as a Smart Car? World Pumpkin Capital Half Moon Bay will present their 38th Annual World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off. 2010 Winner Ron Root will return to defend his record of a whopping 1,535 pounds, and there will be an additional $5,000 awarded if the world record of 1725lbs. is crushed. That’s a lot of pie!
The top five contestants will have their ginormous pumpkins displayed at the Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival on October 15-16 from 9a-5p.
