Sunday is the final day of the huge April book sale by the San Francisco Public Library and all of the remaining 250,000 books are on sale for just $1 or less.

It’s free to go and open to anyone. Fort Mason Center’s cavernous Festival Pavilion, will hold over 250,000 books, DVDs, CDs, books on tape, vinyl and other forms of media.

COST: Super cheap. That’s the point, right? Everything is $3 or less, with a 3-2-1 scale:

  • $3 for hard cover books
  • $2 for paperback books
  • $1 for DVDs, CDs, books on tape, vinyl and other forms of media.
  • $1 also for anything left on Sunday. Or less.

All proceeds from 50th Anniversary Sale benefit the San Francisco Public Library’s education programs that promote literacy for children, teens and adults.
