Fridays are now a little bit more awesome. Did someone say $1 drinks?

Monroe in North Beach hosts “Battle of the Decades” DJ party and happy hour every Friday with a DJ spinning progressive tunes. Every hour is a different decade – with drink prices to match – $1 drinks during ’60s hour, $2 drinks during ’70s hour, and so on.

There’s a live DJ, two rooms and an outdoor patio.

The earlier you get there, the cheaper the drinks. Drinks typically included in happy hour pricing are Well cocktails with Rum, Vodka, Tequila, Whiskey, Gin, and Beers like PBR, Rolling Rock, Miller High Life and Bud Light.

  • 5-6 pm: $1 drinks – ’60s music
  • 6-7 pm: $2 drinks – ’70s music
  • 7-8 pm: $3 drinks – ’80s music
  • 8-9 pm: $4 drinks – ’90s music
  • 9-10 pm: $5 drinks – ’00s music
  • 10-11 pm: $6 premium cocktails – ’10s music
  • 11 pm to 2am – Current Hits
