$1 Horse Racing Day & Hispanic Heritage Day | Berkeley

It’s Hispanic Heritage Day at the horse race track. There’s added Latin flavor to this continually cheap event: every Sunday from now through June 12, nearly every costs just a single buck at Golden Gate Fields in North Berkeley.

Check out out the thoroughbred action at the Fields, a place that’s been hosting horse races since 1941. You don’t have to bet to have fun since there are 8 or 9 races a day (but bets are as low as $2 apiece with bounties of up to about $22).

Telemundo 48, 93.3 La Raza host a Hispanic Heritage Day featuring celebrations, prizes and live music from the incomparable Banda Tierra Del Sol.
