SCRAP’s 3rd annual exhibition is a look at the art of creative reuse. Featuring 67 artworks by 46 artists it is held at the SF Environment EcoCenter a. The collaboration has been a fantastic opportunity to spread the word about the wealth of programs and organizations in San Francisco that help its residents live healthier and more sustainable lives.
The show was juried by SFAC Gallery Director, Meg Shiffler, SF Chronicle’s online “Art and Culture Fix” columnist and SFAI faculty, JD Beltran, and AAACC Visual Arts Coordinator, Samara Rivers.
Featured at the January 14th reception is a 3-hole miniature golf parking space installation by the Blanket Collaborative, “RoCocoa” canopy of chocolate box insert trays, Robert Collison’s life-like cardboard dogs, and a knitted plastic bag jellyfish forest.
