Fifteen years! The East Bay Alternative Book and Zine Fest (EBABZ) invites you to immerse yourself in our annual festival celebrating the East Bay’s vibrant and varied DIY publishing community! EBABZ will feature 100+ vendors selling zines, comics, books, and other goods from local artists and zinesters.
This year’s festival will be Saturday, December 7th, 2024, from 12–5pm at the David Brower Center in Berkeley, California (2150 Allston Way). The festival is free to attend and open to all ages.
The East Bay Alternative Book and Zine Fest is an entirely volunteer-run and not-for-profit event dedicated to supporting, promoting, and educating the wider Bay Area community about zines and self-publishing, with a focus on East Bay creators. EBABZ is fiscally sponsored by Rock Paper Scissors Collective, a member-directed, all volunteer-run nonprofit organization based in Oakland. Rock Paper Scissors Collective fosters creativity and collaboration: strengthening local communities, encouraging sustainable creative practices, and exploring alternative models through non-hierarchical, consensus-based organizing.
