This year marks the 75th anniversary of the birth of San Francisco’s most iconic monument, and Clift Hotel (a historic landmark itself) will be hosting a weekend of celebrations for the remainder of the year.
On Friday, May 25 celebrate with an authentic 1930’s theme party at Redwood Room, a venue whose doors first opened during the 1930’s era.
- Dress in ‘30’s attire for the occasion and Clift staff will do the same. San Francisco based Distillery 209 will be serving up classic gin cocktails such as the Gin Fizz and The Vesper.
- Enjoy tunes from six-piece band Sara & Swingtime.
- Catch a glimpse of several iconic black and white films from the era, including The Maltese Falcon, Fog Over Frisco and Song of the City, projected on the venue walls.
The celebration will continue on Saturday, May 26 when jazz and blues band, Lavay Smith & Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers take the stage at Redwood Room.
The events are free, but you must RSVP to attend.
