Ripley’s Believe It or Not! is closing its San Francisco Odditorium at Fisherman’s Wharf on Dec. 1, 2026, ending nearly 60 years of strange sights at 175 Jefferson St. The attraction first opened on Feb. 2, 1967, and it’s sending things off with a suitably weird farewell.

On its final day, admission will cost just $1.50 for adults and 75 cents for kids, matching the original 1967 ticket prices. Want to visit before then? Ripley’s is also offering $19.67 admission on Thursdays during its final weeks.

The museum is auctioning off select exhibits and artifacts through a silent auction that stays open until closing. Among the oddities up for grabs are a Golden Gate Bridge made on the head of a pin, toothpick replicas of the bridge, Joe DiMaggio’s crutches, a chicken-wire portrait of Janis Joplin, a matchstick cable car and even a fur-covered fish. There’s also a 1989 Emmy tied to coverage of the Loma Prieta earthquake and World Series.

The building is already being marketed for lease, so the future of this longtime Wharf attraction remains up in the air.
