San Jose Bike Party is hosting their 5th annual Ladies Ride on July 9, 2016. Come out for music, food, riding, and good company.
Ladies of all riding backgrounds, including beginners, are encouraged to attend as the pace of the ride will be relaxed. The route is approximately 15 miles through the streets of San Jose, including rest stops at Willow Street Frank Bramhall Park and Guadalupe Gardens. The woman-owned food truck Mio Taco will be available at the ride start and regroups for riders.
The goal with the Ladies Ride is to reduce the gender gap in bicycle riding, where we see more men riding than women. They hope that this ride will provide women and girls with a comfortable and supportive environment to ride their bikes around town. They also hope that this ride will give local female riders a chance to try San Jose Bike Party.
About San Jose Bike Party:
The San Jose Bike Party mission is to “build community through cycling.” They achieve that mission by facilitating a monthly bike ride that is open to all riders in the bay area. This ride takes place every month on the third Friday of each month. The rides often include thousands of riders on many different types of bikes.
