Oakland Pride returns to Downtown Oakland on Sunday, August 16, with a free morning parade followed by a ticketed festival featuring live music, drag performances, food, community vendors, and LGBTQ+ programming across multiple stages.
Oakland Pride Parade
The Oakland Pride Parade runs from 10:30 a.m. to noon, bringing community groups, organizations, performers, leaders, and colorful contingents through the heart of Downtown Oakland. The parade is free and open to the public.
The parade begins at 21st Street and Broadway and travels through Downtown Oakland, ending at Clay Street near the festival grounds at Frank H. Ogawa Plaza.
Oakland Pride Festival
The ticketed festival begins at noon at Frank H. Ogawa Plaza and surrounding streets. This year’s entertainment lineup includes Grammy-nominated singer Amerie on the Main Stage, Fey on the Latin Stage, Lady Alma on the Mighty Real Stage, plus performances by Terrell Carter, Gala Varo, La Cruz, Star Amerasu, and Chrissy Chlapecka.
The Latin Stage, presented by Club Papi and Valentino, will feature Fey, Venezuelan reggaeton singer La Cruz, and RuPaul’s Drag Race Mexico star Gala Varo, along with local drag performers and DJs spinning Latin, reggaeton, cumbia, Brazilian funk, merengue, and banda.
Beyond the music, the festival features 300+ exhibitors, food vendors and trucks, community resources, and spaces for different generations and experiences. Generations of Pride offers a sober, family- and elder-friendly space, while Sexy Town is an 18+ area focused on sexual health, education, resources, and pleasure-positive programming. VIP tickets include Main Stage viewing and access to the Oakland Pride VIP Rotunda Experience.
