2024 “F*** Valentines Day” Spectacular (Oakland)

Our legendary F’ Valentines Day spectacular returns for the first time in person since 2020! Celebrating all that’s erotic, neurotic and psychotic, join us for a raucous night at what the East Bay Express has called “the most consistently spectacular event Oakland has ever seen,” in our supercharged, wildly entertaining send up of Valentines Day!

The Ruckus and Rumpus Revival is a legendary underground variety show filled with uncensored circus, stand up comedy, burlesque, pole performance, freestyle rap battles, aerial, beat-boxing, slam poetry, shocking sideshow, break-dancing, dirty haiku bouts and audience-interactive mayhem in a fast paced night of unfiltered entertainment!

Our F’ Valentines Day show is a romp through the battlefields of love, featuring the notorious “The Worst Sex Ever” showcase, where the audience submits their most disastrous experiences to be retold live in hilarious interpretive dance and many other surprises!

The winner of multiple “Best of the Bay” awards, the SF Chronicle calls Ruckus “a dazzling, inspiring and celebratory display of talent” and “a tent revival for misfits and freaks, those whose artistry or spectatorship has a homespun bent and a bandit streak.” Every show features an all new lineup, and both the freestyle rap battle and slam are open for anyone to sign up and compete for $400 in cash prizes, judged by the audience!

Hosted by Jamie DeWolf (HBO’s Def Poetry Jam and NPR’s Snap Judgment) and Wonder Dave (Mental Health Comedy Hour), with DizzyfromEarlier, Little Glitter Bomb and the beat-boxer Syzygy.
