Event Details

In honor of Earth Day, The San Francisco Vegan Society will join thousands of environmental activists around the world to demand that our governments embrace the Plant-Based Treaty and make an international shift to a plant-based food system to combat the climate crisis. Activists will meet at the corner of Powell and Geary streets in Union Square at 10am and then march to San Francisco City Hall holding posters and handing out fliers promoting the many environmental, health, and ethical benefits of veganism. At City Hall a few select activists will give short prepared speeches connecting the destructive effects of animal agriculture to the climate and environmental crises we face, and explain how broad adoption of a vegan lifestyle is urgently needed to save our planet.
