2026 White Elephant Sale in 90,000+ Sq Ft. Warehouse (Jan. 25 – Mar. 1)
The White Elephant Sale is Northern California’s oldest and largest rummage sale. You will find a curated selection of one-of-a kind treasures. The White Elephant Sale has almost 20 departments in a warehouse nearly twice the size of a football field. Plus you’ll be supporting the Oakland Museum of California.
Get the rush of adrenaline from snagging that one-of-a-kind item you can’t find anywhere else. Over the course of an entire year, our volunteers collect, sort, and repair a massive selection of donated goods, priced from low-cost to an absolute bargain. We do more than save thousands of items from the landfill: we connect generations of families to everything from school supplies and kids’ first bikes to prom dresses, jewelry, and estate antiques at prices you can afford. Produced by the Oakland Museum Women’s Board, the White Elephant Sale has supported the Oakland Museum of California’s educational programs, exhibitions, and marketing initiatives for over 60 years with contributions totaling more than $33 million.
2026 White Elephant Sale:
The 67th annual White Elephant Sale (WES), returns with multiple shopping dates over five weeks from January 25 through March 1, 2026. The event is made possible by donations from the public and with the help of nearly 1,000 volunteers year-round.
Preview Sale:
Preview Sale Day tickets go on sale Friday, December 12 at 8 am; Open Warehouse Days tickets go on sale Tuesday, December 16 at 8 am. Tickets are priced at $50 for the Preview Sale Day, January 25; $7 for Open Warehouse Days, January 29-February 21; and free for the Clearance Weekend, February 28-March 1. Tickets are required for all Sale days, except for the free Clearance Sale Weekend.

Admission: $7.00 per day
Browse without the crowds for 16 days in January and February. New merchandise will be added throughout the sale. Reserve your spot for $7 per day. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, December 16 at 8:00 AMIf tickets are sold out for the day you want, remember that we will allow walk-ins as space permits starting at 11:00 AM each day.

About the Sale

Ticketless entry: No ticket? No problem! As space allows, each Open Warehouse Day we will admit walk-ins after 11:00 AM, after we admit all those with tickets. Walk-in shoppers pay the $7 per day admission fee at the door (no cash; credit/debit card only).

Free shopping hours: As space allows, shoppers may enter the warehouse on Open Warehouse Days at 1:00 PM for free to shop until we close at 2:00 PM.

Free admission for preK-12 teachers: On every Open Warehouse Day, credentialed California preK-to-12 classroom teachers get free admission after 11:00 AM. A photo ID and proof of current employment are required.

Bring the kids over 12: Children over 12 are welcome during the Open Warehouse Days with a $7 per day admission fee (no cash; credit/debit card only).
For security and safety reasons, no children under 12 are allowed, including infants in arms, or in a sling, backpack, frontpack, or other similar baby carriers. -
Children of all ages are welcome at the free Clearance Weekend. We cannot, however, accommodate strollers in the warehouse.

Sunday shopping! We will be open THREE Sundays in 2026: Preview Sale on January 25, Open Warehouse Day on February 1, and Clearance Weekend on February 28. We’re making shopping easier for everyone!

Free Shuttle: On Saturdays, Sundays, and Presidents Day, a free shuttle will run continuously to and from the Fruitvale BART Station for shoppers taking BART or parking in the BART lot. Park your car at BART and come shop.

No tickets are needed for Clearance Weekend. Just come and shop.
Parking & Transportation

Free Shuttle: A free shuttle will run every weekend day and Presidents Day. The shuttle will circle between the Fruitvale BART station pickup on Oscar Grant III Way and the warehouse starting at 8:00 AM. The last shuttle will leave the warehouse at 3:45 PM from the pickup location at the corner of Ford and Lancaster, one block from the warehouse.

Free parking at the Fruitvale BART station garage is available on Saturdays, Sundays and major holidays. Shoppers can take BART or park for free at the BART station, then take the free shuttle to the warehouse. BART does not permit non-users to park in its lot during the week.
