San Francisco Bay Area Naadam Festival is back for its 23rd Annual Celebration after a two-year break because of the Covid-19. Bay Area Mongolian Association in partnership with the Consulate General of Mongolia in San Francisco is gearing up to celebrate the Naadam Festival on July 9th, 2022. San Francisco Bay Area Naadam Festival 2022 is an annual celebration of Mongolian heritage and culture. The festival hosts a variety of exciting performances showcasing the national folk music, traditional dances and the Mongolian wrestling competitions, archery, lively game of tug-of-war and children’s foot races replica of horse race. Besides the music, sports competitions, you can explore and embrace the variety of traditional Mongolian cuisine.
This year’s Naadam commemorates the 101st anniversary of the Mongolian Revolution, the 816th anniversary of the Mongolian Empire and the 2231 anniversary of the Hunnu Empire. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the U.S.A and Mongolia and 10th anniversary of the opening of Consulate General of Mongolia in San Francisco, California.
