Join us on Tuesday, September 1 at 6:30 PM when ROB REGER and JESSICA GRUNER come to the store to share the special 25th anniversary edition of the book Emily the Strange, as well as the new edition of their book Emily the Strange: The Lost Days. They will sign copies of their books after the presentation.
“Emily the Strange” is a cultural icon, with a bestselling book series, fashion line, punk rock music collabs, and much, much more! The razor-sharp-witted, moody, goth teen and her four sinister black kitties are an inspiration to the strange in all of us. Get lost, be yourself, and celebrate your darker side with the 25th anniversary “Emily the Strange” collection, including this expanded reissue of the original Emily the Strange book, a sticker book, and a set of 30 postcards.
For fans of all ages, this anniversary edition of Emily the Strange features a new afterword, sixteen pages of new content, and all the secret messages and signature snark of the original book that started it all.
As the founder, creative director, and president of Cosmic Debris, ROB REGER introduced the world to “Emily the Strange” — an icon of empowerment for young alternative girls and outsiders of all ages. He fuels his imagination with music, the natural environment, science, and artistic explorations, mixing clean design and pop culture with a neo-surrealist sensibility. He received a BFA from UC Santa Cruz, and an MFA in printmaking from the San Francisco Art Institute.
JESSICA GRUNER is the co-author of the Emily the Strange book series and comics. She lives in Alameda, California with her family and a posse of chickens.
