Come hear excerpts from the eight authors of the third 32-Hour Novel Reading & Bookbinding Workshop on Sunday, June 21, 2015.

Alley Cat Bookstore and Gallery is hosting an excerpt reading and reception for a collaborative short story-cycle novel written by eight authors over the course of one weekend. Come early for a bookbinding workshop and pitch in to help us bind the books before the excerpt reading.

The bookbinding tutorial will begin at 3:30 pm. The excerpt reading will start at 7 pm.

Volunteers wanted:

  • Bookbinders: Join then at 3:30 pm at Alley Cat Books for a bookbinding workshop, then help us handbind copies of the book, hot off the presses.
  • Performers: Are you great at public speaking? They’d like one or two experienced readers to perform excerpts for authors who are feeling shy.

What is the 32-hour novel?

The 2015 32-hour novel will be written, revised, printed, bound, and presented to the world this weekend, June 20-21, 2015 at Alley Cat Bookstore and Gallery in San Francisco.

2015 Novel Writing Schedule

  • Saturday, June 20, 10 am-5 pm – Novel Writing Weekend Day One. Write, print, and bind a cooperative a novel over the course of one weekend.
  • Sunday, June 21, 10 am-9 pm – Novel Writing Weekend Day Two. Finish writing, printing, and binding a cooperative novel. Reading of the finished work at 7 pm.
